Sonia defends Manmohan, UPA on joint statement

Omar threatens to resign over PDP allegations

A DAY after PDP supremo Mehbooba Mufti created drama in the Legislative Assembly, it was the turn of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to shock the House after he threatened to resign from the government. Singed by the PDP allegation that his name figured in a sexual probe being conducted by the CBI, an emotional Abdullah told the House that he was going to resign from the government. In an angry outburst, the Jammu and Kashmir chief minister said that the charges of sexual abuse levelled against him were a blot on his name and would stick forever…

Unfortunate Supreme Court verdict
